Shop Updates for June

It’s hard to believe we’re almost halfway through 2020. It’s been a wild year so far, but we remain optimistic and are adapting to situations as they unfold. We’re becoming more and more familiar with the ins and outs of running a webstore and how we can remain connected with our customers. It hasn’t been without its challenges, but we are enjoying this exciting learning curve. We hope we’re able to provide you with the amazing customer service you have always experienced at Phidon, and if you ever require further assistance, we’re still only an email or phone call away. As we head into warmer, sunnier weather in the coming weeks, we want to take this opportunity to update you with some of what’s happening at our shop.

 

IN-STORE BROWSING REMAINS CLOSED

This month, we’re seeing many shops around Ontario beginning to re-open for customer visits. Unfortunately, we still don’t feel we can adequately manage everyone’s health and safety during their visit as of yet. For those who have been to our shop on Dickson Street before, you’ll know that it’s a cozy, intimate space. As lovely as that is under normal circumstances, it also means that it would be quite difficult to maintain sufficient distance between customers while browsing our shelves. Nonetheless, we’re continuing to explore the options available to us with regards to re-opening and how we can keep both our team and our valued customers safe. Be sure to keep an eye on our various social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram), as we’ll be sure to update you once we’re ready.

Despite closing our shop to in-store browsing at the moment, we still want to be able to give you a glimpse of our store and the wonderful stationery products we carry. Since the end of May, we’ve begun to offer virtual shopping appointments to our customers. If you’re ever in doubt about where to begin with your next purchase, or need a side by side comparison of different products, we encourage you to book an appointment with us and get all your questions answered! We’re happy to hop on a FaceTime or Zoom call with you to show you some of our best recommendations, from papers and inks to pens and accessories.

Appointments are available on Tuesdays and Fridays between 11:00 to 14:00.

 

CURBSIDE PICK-UP & PORCH DELIVERIES

Local customers are welcome to drop by our shop at 63 Dickson Street to pick up their orders from Mondays to Fridays between 11:00 - 16:00, or on Saturdays between 11:00 - 14:00. We also continue to offer porch deliveries for orders totaling $50+ before taxes with qualifying shipping postal codes within Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo. With the current delivery backlog challenges at Canada Post, this is often the fastest way for local customers to receive their purchases. For details regarding which postal codes are eligible, please check out our store’s FAQ page.

Of course, we continue to offer free shipping for Canadian orders $100+. These orders will be shipped via Canada Post’s Expedited Service, which includes tracking so that you can stay updated on your package’s journey enroute to you. Orders to the US will also ship for free if they total $250+. We hope all of these options make it easy and convenient to shop and receive purchases from our webstore.

With Father’s Day and graduation coming up, we wanted to offer our customers a great way to create beautiful, personalized gifts to mark a special occasion.
