Shop Updates for May
As always, we place our team’s and our customers’ health and safety above all else. It continues to be the main priority for us as we learn to adapt to new ways of doing business while keeping in line with the latest guidelines public health agencies at all levels of government.
Although many businesses have begun to reopen, our brick and mortar shop will remain closed for the time being. Because space is quite limited at our shop, we still need time to work out an effective strategy to maintain safe distancing and ensure products/surfaces can be cleaned. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we do hope everyone can understand.
That said, we want to make sure everyone can still access their favourite stationery products and stock up on writing supplies. We recently launched our online shop, and the response has been incredible. We hope that the new webshop will provide you a convenient way to browse our offerings, no matter where you may be located. Below are several things we’re doing to ensure we are still providing the best Phidon experience possible for everybody.
Curbside Pick-Up Hours
We’re happy to offer regular curbside pick-up hours for our local customers. If you’ve placed an order online, you can pick-up your order from our shop at 63 Dickson Street, Cambridge, ON between the hours of 11:00 to 16:00 from Mondays to Fridays, and 11:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays. During these hours, pick-up will be available without having to make prior arrangement with our team. Of course, we understand those hours may not work for everyone, so if you need alternative pick-up times, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would be happy to arrange pick-up by appointment.
Local Drop-off Delivery
For orders with a pre-tax total of $50+, we’re offering free, contact-less porch deliveries to addresses within the qualifying postal code area(s) in Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo. If you do select drop-off delivery, we ask that you leave us a phone number at check-out through which we may contact you, in order to ensure that you will be home to collect your package, or there is a safe and secure location for us to drop off the package.
Shipping Options
Unfortunately, due to travel times, we’re unable to provide porch deliveries for addresses outside of the specified areas. However, we’re able to offer free shipping for all orders with a pre-tax total of $100+, and if your order doesn’t meet the free shipping threshold, we’re happy to ship your package for $9.95 (+HST). All orders are shipped using Canada Post’s Expedited Service. This is the fastest and most secure way for you to receive your package, as it will include tracking throughout the shipping process.
Personal (Digital) Shopping Appointments
We know one of things you love most about Phidon is the ability to interact with our team (especially Mano!) and get personalized recommendations based on your needs. We miss that part the most, too! For those who wish to continue having that one-on-one interaction with our team, we’re happy to do Facetime shopping appointments. Simply send us an email to let us know what is a convenient time for you and we’ll set aside the time to help connect you with some new stationery goodies. Whether you’re looking to get your first fountain pen, or the perfect commemorative journal to mark a special occasion (graduation is coming up!), we’re excited to help you out.
Thank you for your Support
Once again, we want to thank everyone for all the love and support since we’ve opened our new online shop. Although we miss being able to see everyone in-person, and chat about pens and inks, we do hope the new online shop allows you easy access to all your favourite stationery products. We’re still working hard to upload all the products in our catalog to the shop. Who knew we had over 1000 products?! In the meantime, if something you want to add to your order is not yet listed, please do not hesitate to message us, either via email, or our Facebook and Instagram accounts. We can adjust our upload priority, or set you up with a custom invoice.
