Blending Literature and Ink: Wearingeul
A great way to destress over the summer is to open a new book and enjoy the nice weather. Here at Phidon, all of us love to read, and we have recently brought the South Korean fountain pen ink company, Wearingeul to the shop. Their inks come in a wide variety of colours, with some even including shimmer. The colours they have produced are all inspired by literature and poetry from around the world. The latest series we have received are the Alice in Wonderland colours, which are influenced by the described clothing of the characters in this classic 19th century novel by the English author Lewis Carroll.
We also have the new additions to the Monthly Literature collection, including a vibrant pink ink inspired by the classic Pride and Prejudice, a beautiful red-brown, called Don Quixote as illustrated in the Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes’s novel, and a stunning dark teal as an ode to Hemingway’s For Whom the Bell Tolls. In addition, we received new fountain pen inks from the Poetic License collection, including some lovely, calming shades such as the pastel blue-grey shimmer ink named Eung-Ang Eung-Ang, a light brown ink with yellow shading, Potato of Spring and a teal ink called New Hope Crown.
We also restocked on popular inks such as the stunning Half Moon with Dimmed Light which is a dark grey with blue micro-shimmer particles, Architecture Infinite Cube, which features a dark red-brown with vibrant dark green sheen, and the fun blue-grey shimmer ink, I Am a Cat. We also restocked Demian’s Lost and Mature inks, which are lovely blues that are perfect for everyday writing. The glass design of these 30ml ink bottles are a beautiful addition to any ink collection for those who value literature and writing with a fountain pen.
